Meet Team Blacksheep Coach Mandi Thomas.
Mandi collaborated with the founders of Project Black to create Team Blacksheep, a group of passionate individuals set out to create more awareness and support for the adaptive athlete community.
Mandi is a US Army Airborne veteran. She has been a personal trainer for 9 years and has worked with a wide range of individuals. She currently is the head trainer at a retirement community (where her oldest client is a 91-yr old WWII vet), she holds a CFL2 and trains clients at Steel Mill Crossfit.
As much as she enjoys training the every day person, she feels her calling is working with adaptive athletes. Mandi is no stranger to disabilities and all of their frustrations and hardships; her daughter is autistic and requires a service animal. Mandi has also trained 4 clients through the Wounded Warrior Project over the past 3 years. She has a personal and emotional investment in the adaptive community and wants to surround herself with those that share the same passion.
She is looking forward to creating a diverse team that inspires, motivates and uplifts the spirits of anyone facing hardship in their lives or just needs a swift kick in the ass, disability or not.
